Michele Lim

Michele Lim is an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.  She was called to the English Bar in 1995 and is a Barrister-at-Law of England and Wales.  She is also a member of Middle Temple, England.  She completed her pupillage in a medium sized firm with exposure in general litigation and research.  She started her legal practice in a medium sized firm in Singapore in 1996 handling commercial litigation and acting for insurers and insured in insurance matters, namely motor accident, personal injury, industrial accident and workmen’s compensation.

In litigation, her practice covers civil and commercial litigation and includes contractual disputes, family law, adoption, Syariah court matters, debt recover, insolvency, employment law, landlord and tenant matters, medical negligence, probate and administration.  She has appeared and argued matters in Court of Appeal, High Court and Subordinate Courts. 

She also handles non-contentious matters such as conveyancing and commercial matters. She commenced her conveyancing practice in 2001.  Currently, all the conveyancing work is handled by her personally as it is her preference due to the amount of client's money involved in these transactions but there is an experienced conveyancing clerk at hand to assist her when necessary.  In conveyancing, she has handled both sale and purchase of HDB, private and commercial properties, refinancing of property, redemption of mortgage loans. 

In commercial matters, she has handled business transactions, drafted and reviewed agreements such as Financing Agreement, Warranty, Indemnity Agreement, Employment Contracts, Personal and Corporate Guarantees, Loan Agreements, Indemnity Agreement, Distributorship Agreement, Shareholder Agreement, Facility Agreement and security documents in relation to aircraft financing, board resolutions and registration of trademarks.

 She has also worked as a Legal Counsel in a company producing steel and handled commercial work such as reviewing and drafting of Terms and Conditions of Purchase Orders, Works Orders and Invoices, Non-Disclosure Agreement, attending and drafting Minutes of Audit Committee Meetings and Board Meetings, review of agreement for Sale of Land, Electricity Retail Agreement and litigation matters.

 

Rashidah Saheer

Rashidah Saheer is an Advocate and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Singapore.  She was also called to the English Bar in 1995 and is a Barrister-at-Law of England and Wales.  She obtained a Masters in Law in Commercial Practice in London in 1996.  Having been in practice since 1997, Rashidah has had a varied practice to-date, spanning from civil and criminal litigation to family litigation. She has handled various matters, including conducting trials and appeals in the Singapore High Court, State Courts and Syariah Court.  She spends a substantial portion of her time on pro bono work as she believes in making justice affordable for everyone.   

Rashidah has also undergone mediation training and has facilitated mediation services for the Small Claims Tribunal. She is also a member of Law Society and Singapore Academy of Law.

 

GIVALATHA BALASINGAM

Givalatha T. Balasingam (Giva) is an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.  She was called to the Singapore Bar in 2004. Giva completed her pupillage in a medium sized firm with exposure in commercial litigation and research.  Following her pupillage, Giva started her legal practice in a medium sized firm in Singapore in 2004, practicing in Civil, Criminal, Commercial litigation and Business Law.

Her practice includes drafting, reviewing and advising agreements such as Financing Agreement, Warranty, Indemnity Agreement, Employment Contracts, Personal and Corporate Guarantees, Loan Agreements, Indemnity Agreement, Distributorship Agreement, Shareholder Agreement, Facility Agreement and security documents in relation to aircraft financing, board resolutions and registration of trademarks.

Recent experience includes contract analysis and completions for a large multi-national pipeline corporation in the oil and gas sector.  She has undergone mediation training in family and business law conducted by the Law Society of Alberta.

In her spare time, She enjoys hiking and attends Chinese painting classes and also volunteers in Community work.
